President - Grand Master Richard A. Coulson

Grand Master Richard A. Coulson is president of Chung Do Kwan of Amercia Tae Kwon Do Association. Grand Master Coulson started Tae Kwon Do in 1974 and currently holds an 8th Degree Black Belt with over 35 years of experience. He has published articles on Tae Kwon Do, as well as conducted numerous seminars on the various aspects of Tae Kwon Do. CofA@mchsi.com

Grand Master Coulson has also competed in and won many tournaments and fought his first international professional kick boxing bout in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1993. He is certified by the Kukkiwon/World Tae Kwon Do Headquarters, which is located in Korea, and holds a BBA and a BS from Iowa State University.

Grand Master Coulson is a disciple of Chung Do Kwan, one of the oldest traditional styles of Tae Kwon Do. When Grand Master Coulson instructs, he combines this traditional style with modern techniques acquired from years of teaching and tournament competition. This blend of teaching style benefits his students in that they receive the best of both old and new. Thus, his students are able to achieve the goal of perfection in both body and mind.
